Hey, everybody.
Well, I think we're just about finished writing the next DK album, kids. I feel like it's going to be a good 'un. Once we decide which songs to concentrate on, we'll be heading back into the studio to start laying down tracks. There will be a little more of a rock & roll feel to this record. Not surprising, with Neil and Bobby Lloyd in the rhythm section. I tell you, these fellas are FEROCIOUS players, and lots of fun to be around to boot. I'm anxious to get them on tape.
Hey, I have to tell y'all about these new pickups I've been using in my guitars lately. They're completely hand wound by my friend Jerry Amalfitano down in Texas. Jerry's Telecaster pickups are excellent, his Stratocaster pickups sound more like a Strat than a Strat, and his new P-45 pickups, originally designed to go in the front position of a Tele and match up in power to the bridge pickup, may be the best sounding pickup I've ever heard. I liked them so much, I routed a Strat and put in three of 'em. Look on our links page for the Amalfitano Pickups website and check him out. Tell him Stevie sent you.
